Broken Promises

There is an element so full of bitterness and vindictiveness so deep and complete that it brought the Senate to a halt today so that leadership could blatantly violate its own agreement, made yesterday, that if Sen. Kent Conrad dropped his amendment to add drought emergency relief which he proposed to add to defense spending, that the leadership would bring up Agricultural appropriations today. And guess what. Sen. Frist who did the public, on the record, agreeing to that procedure, today turned around and refused to consider agricultural appropriations. Why does the Senate leadership hate America? It elected two Democrats to the Senate.

This is a map of the drought situation in these United States. These are hardly the needs of any welfare frauds, these are the people who work from before daylight usually until dark, and who feed the rest of us.

The coverage level for crop insurance goes down every year that it has to be used. Some of these areas are suffering for the fifth year from the drought, which this year brought temperatures of 112 F in North and South Dakota, normally not know for extreme heat.

And on the floor of the Senate these dirtballs won’t let drought relief come up for consideration, where it last time got 77 votes of ‘yea’, and where it has 26 sponsors. This is a bipartisan measure.

When the Republican party shows it’s colors, there is really ugly stuff.

If farmers lose their family farms, be sure to give credit where it’s due. The bankers and the agricultural industrial farmers’ bff, the seamy party of the culture of corruption, are out there tearing down those ‘family values’ they only patronized when it looked like they could fool the public into voting for them.

In the Red River Vally of North Dakota, there had never been a crop failure until the last six years.

In my area, we didn't know that drought ratings went up to Exceptional.

Guess if you label global warming as a hoax, you can resist a lot of rational, decent measures.

We may be here a long time, since the leadership's promises have been proved to be worthless.
