Thursday Birdblogging

This is a wonderful sighting/photo of a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, not something I see often in N.TX., specially from FeralLiberal. He caught this during a migration flight himself, near the Great Lakes. In my youth, I remember hearing the bird's name used almost as a joke on how silly birders were, and the names they came up with. Must have bewitched me.

Mr. Mukasey should be given some, but not unfettered, leeway.

No, Mr. Hiatt. Mr. Mukasey has already proven what he is, and we can't waste any more time haggling over the price.

And the same can be said for you. I think it fair to say that had you and the rest of your crew been in charge of the Washington Post back when Nixon was running amok, you would have sided with the criminals.

It's a shame Warren Buffett never warned Katherine Graham about the dangers of nepotism.

P.S. Don't forget, Fred Hiatt cheered Mike "I can't tell if waterboarding is torture" Mukasey's nomination for A.G., and attacked anyone who was skeptical.

Nice one, thunder, and thanks for passing it on. My schedule hasn't let me spend the time it takes to remind Mr. Hiatt that his readers know the facts, and exercise good judgment which he has not developed in his rush to endear himself to the war criminals. But you will note that this a.m. (Friday) I'm baaaaaack.
