Friday Catblogging

Patches and his shadow.

From Tabby's Place in Ringoes, NJ, accessible from Philly and New York. You can donate and/or online adopt a cat, even one with special needs, too.

What a striking-looking cat! Patch is a young male, just over a year old, we think. His fur is of a white base, but he has patches of spotted tabby on his back, striped brown tabby over his head, and a funny splotch of tabby over part of his nose, along with a grey, tabby-striped tail.

Patch doesn't run from people, but right now, he is afraid to be touched, though he's not aggressive or mean at all. The shelter through which Patch came to us noted that he gets along beautifully with other cats. In fact, he was at the shelter with another cat, named Ginger, and the two were inseparable there and remain so here.

We believe Patch will calm down eventually, after he's been with us for a while and understands he has nothing to fear from us.
