Thursday Bird Blogging
This terrific Horned Owl shot was taken recently by wildlife photographer and associate Eschatonian Paul Rebmann (www.wildflphoto.com) (http://wildflphoto.com/index.html) in Florida. It's a very precious time in the life of these particular owls, and when I first saw them on Eschaton I knew you would all really love them. Enjoy. And visit the rest of these photos at Paul's site!

They are teh gorgeous! Avatars of Athena, Goddess of wisdom, strategy, politics, and statecraft.
Ruth, I was cleaning up some papers a week ago and came across the moonflower seeds; thank you so much! They're on my altar right now!
Used to have some in room, throwaways from an Ornithology Dep't. most of them hunting mistakes, vehicle or power line casualties.
Half a dozen young adult Barn Owls, a huge mature Great Horned, Screech and Hoot owls.
Their feathers fluffed or molded up while I was away, I gave them back to nature in the old golf course off the back yard years ago.
Amazing claws on the Great Horned. one taxidermy eye is all that's left. It designs an old cap of mine now. The only way to not lose that hat is to keep an eye on it, literally.

Nighttime creatures, and occasionally a hoot owl talks at me from a very old pecan tree outside my front windows.
Thanks for your enjoying these natural wonders.
