It may well be the only solution, however, there must be a caveat with the pardon. A full investigation of their high crimes and misdeamonors must be publicaly exposed. The last time we gave a pass to a president allowed the current mess to evolve.
Furthermore, there must be some price. Exposing these criminals and forcing them to face public shame would be good enough for me. They just can't slink away ala Nixon and eventually rehabilitate their reputations.
